AmCham Shanghai’s Women’s Executive Network (WEN) brings you the 2nd “Springboard Lunch” on Tuesday, January 17th from 11:30-13:30.
This event is designed to be an intimate and confidential forum among peers, where we can address the concerns we’re all wrestling with. To help us share, explore alternative perspectives and solve problems, small group table discussions will be facilitated by seasoned executive coaches.
Our theme for this January gathering is "leadership goal setting for 2017." What do you want to achieve as a leader this coming year for yourself and for your team? What are some examples of leadership goals and ways you can ensure you achieve them? As always, please also feel free to bring additional questions or challenges you would like to discuss among your groups.

Sarah Köchling is the Managing Principal of Blossom Innovation, a consultancy that combines strategic advisory with deep cultural and commercial insights and creative approaches to deliver transformative growth. With over 25 years of experience in China and Asia, including brand management roles at P&G China and J&J International, leading innovation practices at consultancies What If and Dragon Rouge and working for several start-ups, she’s know for offering her clients an optimal mix of best-practice experience and entrepreneurial savvy. A Mandarin speaker and lifelong Sinophile, Sarah is a frequent speaker on innovation and China business and is active as a community volunteer, board advisor and mentor. She is co-founder and co-chair of the Women’s Executive Network (WEN) for Amcham Shanghai.
Jean Liu, based in Shanghai, is a seasoned international executive in business development, marketing and corporate affairs. Currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at EF Education First, Jean has held senior marketing roles with IBM in Beijing and Shanghai. Prior to IBM, Jean was Vice President of Corporate Affairs for EDS in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and was a board member of an EDS China joint venture. Before joining the technology industry, Jean gained extensive advertising, PR, and marketing experience with leading global agencies in Hong Kong, Shanghai and the US. She is the co-chairman of AmCham’s Women’s Executive Network
Jeff Hasenfratz is Managing Director of Mindsight Executive Development Services, a Shanghai-based consultancy offering C-suite team coaching and facilitation in Asia, specializing in helping teams better collaborate.
Jeff, a certified Integral Coach through New Ventures West, speaks Mandarin and has worked in Asia for 25 years. His previous corporate associations include Hewlett Packard and Russell Reynolds Associates. Client organizations include firms in the technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and financial and professional services industries. Jeff is currently writing a book to help Western MNC general managers in China work more effectively with local colleagues.
Axel Kuhlmann. With more than 20 years in leadership or executive positions in Germany, Axel´s fields of expertise include leadership, change process, bridging cultures, learning organizations, systems thinking and marketing. Axel has worked in the Axel worked in were media and advertising, retail and wholesale. His career combined international marketing communication, international sociology research and consumer-habit analysis, and cross-cultural management.
Axel serves as president of the Shanghai Coaching Circle, a non- profit organization which helps coaches and trainers to share experiences, knowledge and learn from another.
Cecile Mazourine is an executive coach, a trainer and a facilitator. She specializes in change management, intercultural collaboration, leadership development and innovation processes.
Cecile has worked with clients from a wide variety of organizations including: Bayer, L’Oréal, SAP, BNP-Paribas, SKF, Nemak, Johnson Matthey, Plastic Omnium, Heineken, Honeywell, SVB, etc. She also teaches cross-cultural management and negotiation in business schools (ESSCA, SKEMA).Her background also includes commercial roles at Coca-Cola in both France and Asia.
Audrey Schroeder. Based since 2002 in Shanghai, Audrey Schroeder has lived and worked in Greater China most of her adult life. Her clients come from the IT, banking, professional services, manufacturing, natural resources, and services industries, and the individuals she coaches are generally mid- to senior managers and C-level leaders.
An American, Audrey generally conducts her coaching in English, but she also speaks fluent Mandarin. Aside from executive coaching Audrey delivers courses on leadership, executive presence, working in a matrix environment and other programs in both English and Chinese.
Alison Tan specializes in Self-Awareness Leadership Development; Cross Cultural teamwork; supporting Chinese executives in their career development in MNCs and supporting expatriates’ working understanding of corporate China. Alison’s work also includes difficult communications, conflict management & helping executives to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Alison’s large corporate clients include HSBC Bank, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Unilever, SONY and L’Oreal. Alison has 20 years of China corporate experience, including roles as China commercial director at Bristol Myers Squibb and head of health economics at GlaxoSmithKline.
Luke J Wardle has extensive experience in talent and organizational development consulting for multi-national organizations operating in China. He specializes in organization and leadership development, particularly identifying (strategic planning), assessing (organization and individual assessment tools) and developing (coaching, action learning & workshops/training) leaders within Fortune 500 organizations.
In the area of coaching, Luke primarily works with executives one-on-one, but also coaches groups and/or teams. Since 1995, he has helped several small to medium sized companies grow from the inception stage to well established organizations. He has held several positions in those organizations ranging from area general manager, to global development manager, to founder of his own organization. He has lived in China since 1995
