Networking Event with the American Business Community


AmCham Shanghai is the voice of American business in China and is the largest American business chamber in China. We are an ideal platform for networking and knowledge sharing. You are cordially invited to this special lunch program to learn more about AmCham Shanghai.  We will introduce our upcoming activities and help you connect with some senior members of the Chamber as well as – current members, members of our Board of Governors and chairs of our many industry committees. In addition, we will have a special presentation by guest speaker Mr. Jay Li, Vice President & General Manager of Greater China, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).


Mr. Li will discuss the growth of sports entertainment industry in China. In this session, Jay will share his views on:

-          How WWE navigates the Chinese market to gain a foothold

About the Speakers:

Jay oversees the expansion of the WWE brand and distribution of its unique sports entertainment product in the Greater China region.  Prior to WWE, Jay worked in the sports industry for nine years as the Greater China GM for action sports/consumer electronics brand Skullcandy, and as the International Division GM for the Chinese sporting goods giant Li Ning.  Previously, Jay was a management consultant and worked at IBM Business Consulting Services, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting, and Accenture.  Jay has worked extensively in both China and the US, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College. 





Kenneth Jarrett has been the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai since September 2013. Prior to that he was the Greater China Chairman for APCO Worldwide, a Washington-based public affairs consultancy from 2008 to 2013, and before that a U.S. diplomat from 1982 to 2008. During his 26-year diplomatic career, his postings included Consul General in Shanghai, Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong, and Director of Asian Affairs at the White House National Security Council. He also served in Beijing, Chengdu, Singapore, and had several assignments in Washington, DC. Mr. Jarrett has degrees from Cornell University, Yale University and the National War College.
