AmCham Shanghai's Real Estate & Construction Committee invites you to a members-only committee roundtable on Thursday, February 23, 2017, from 12:00 to 13:30 at the AmCham Shanghai Conference Center to discuss the current and future trends for Chinese overseas property investment. A light lunch will also be provided.

Where, why and how is this investment taking place? How has it been affected by China’s slower economic growth? And, what does it mean for property markets and economies in Asia, Europe and the Americas?

About the Speakers:
Charles Pittar is CEO and former COO of Juwai.com. Prior to Juwai.com, he was Asia COO for Macquarie Bank. He has spent the past 12 years in Greater China, working at both Goldman Sachs and Citigroup.
Charles worked for ONYX Software, a startup software vendor that successfully listed in 2000, as the MD for Australasia. Charles began his career at Microsoft, establishing the company’s operations throughout the Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa/Middle East.
Michael Purefoy joined Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co. Ltd. as Deputy General Manager of the International Real Estate Centre, Project Management Department, to manage the sales and marketing of Wanda’s international real estate projects in July 2014 Michael. Michael managed the sales launch of Wanda’s first international project, One Nine Elms in London, which achieved over £300 million in sales within 3 months of launch. In addition to London, Michael is currently working on Wanda’s other international projects located on the Gold Coast and in Sydney in Australia, and Beverly Hills and Chicago in the US, a combined sales portfolio of over 300,000 sqm and US$5 billion in projected sales revenue.
Sree Vidya Bhaktavatsalam leads coverage of investing and real estate news in Asia for Bloomberg. Previously, she was an editor on the investing team at Bloomberg News in Boston, where she edited and helped coordinate coverage of the world's biggest money managers and hedge funds. Sree joined Bloomberg News in 2005 as a reporter covering investment trends and money managers including BlackRock, Pimco and Fidelity. She has written cover stories and features for Bloomberg Markets magazine and Bloomberg BusinessWeek. She graduated with a Master's degree in Journalism from Boston's Northeastern University, and received the New England Press Association Journalism Scholarship award in 2000. Sree has Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Literature from the University of Delhi. A native of Delhi, Sree speaks fluent Hindi and Tamil.
